Is Heart & Head Space accessible?

There is just one small lintel-style step into the house. Once inside, the route to the therapy room is on a flat surface.The toilet is directly beside the therapy room.If you have particular mobility or access needs, please contact me before booking so I can make sure the space will work comfortably for you.

Is there parking?

Yes.You can park directly outside the door.There is also a larger private gravelled car park available if needed.

What should I wear to my session?

Accepted Answer

Wear whatever feels comfortable.Layers are useful because body temperature can change when you relax, and some sessions involve a modest amount of movement.You may also be asked to take your shoes off for parts of the session, so it is worth wearing something you are happy to settle into rather than dressing for a board meeting.

Do parents stay in the room during Kids & Teens sessions?

That is something you and your child can decide together.Some children prefer a parent to stay for the whole session. Others are happier once they have settled in and decide they would like to continue on their own.Many parents stay until their child feels comfortable and then wait nearby.There is no fixed rule. The aim is simply to make the session feel safe and manageable for the young person.

Question 5

What if someone brings me but I don’t want them in the session?

That is absolutely fine.If someone brings you but you would prefer to have the session on your own, they can wait comfortably in another room.Alternatively, there is a lovely circular walk of about an hour straight from the door if they would rather head out while you are with me.

Is there a toilet?

Yes.There is a toilet available for clients during your visit right next to the Therapy Room

Will I meet Mary the Westie?

Possibly. And also Rhubarb our old boy!Mary is part of the household and also trained to support people feel more comfortable in sessions but she does not need to be part of your session.If you are nervous around dogs, allergic, or would simply prefer not to meet them, just let me know and I can make sure she and Rhubarb are not a part of your time here.
